Email that to Gabe and he might make that the official poster. But, work on it a bit more until you take my advice.

Yup, using the wax shader material from Brazil :)

The SSS is not totally as I wanted it to be, I'll see whether I will change this.

yeah SSS seems to work better on more rounded objects. But still it looks good how you got the edges to look. I think its ok, maybe a bit more detail in the shadow, looks a little blurry but other than that it looks fine to me

let a burning little rope stick out of it ontop and Get Sub-SufaceScattering working and it will be great.
