Validating: 100% ....and still don't work.

Okay, so I just bought the new bundle (which incudes 2 games I already own! :|) and after installing, I go through the motions to update all the steam browser and game files.

Finally got that out of the way and try to load Episode 2. "Please wait while Steam verifys game files". Okay, so I didn't have to wait any more than a second or two until that was finished. Now my Steam console says Validating: 100%. Sweet, I finally get to play so I click Launch again........"Please wait while Steam verifys game files". Feels like Deja Vu to me.

Point is, every time I click Launch Game, this comes up and I don't feel like i'm any closer to playing the game. Anybody else go through this and find a solution? I've tried uninstalling everything but still nothing.

Delete the clientregistry.blob inside the Steam directory.

No good. As soon as I restart Steam, the file comes back.

HL2 and EP1 are free with the Orange Box?


If Validating the Steam Cache doesn't work try reinstalling Steam, or deleting the GCF files.
