Anyone catch any of the songs from their latest self-titled album? They've definitely been experimenting quite a lot, and somewhat like the results. "A Little Piece of Heaven" is absolutely epic:

That sounds like something that would come out of a Halloween-themed Disney movie.
Freakin weird.

Definitely the strangest song they've done.
I'm picking up their album Tuesday and seeing them in concert in December. Their music has provided me with a lot of guitar playing time lately.
Here's an interesting video of the lead guitarist:

I believe it was inspired by Danny Elfman.

Wow that song is very... interesting. I like it a lot, but it definitely not what I was expecting from them.

The rest of the album is more like what City of Evil was, except "Dear God" has some sort of odd country infusion. Other than that the album is really good.

Just finished listening to the album. A very interesting one, this. While some songs are the A7X everybody knows (Critical Acclaim, Almost Easy, Scream, Lost) some are a lot softer, reminding me of some of their older work, such as Warmness on the Soul.
And Dear God... totally off the wall. I was not expecting that at all.
The verdict? If you ignore the divergent songs A Little Piece of Heaven and Dear God, and if you like their older work, you'll probably like this. Something tells me that A Little Piece of Heaven will be some sort of a cult favorite.
By the way... the guitar riffs in City of Evil are pale compared to this.

Brompton Cocktail is excellent, as is most of this album. I approve!

Interesting to say the least.
Never really paid much attention to them before.
Sounds like a rock version of a song from Nightmare Before Christmas.

I hate these guys but this song is an interesting change.
