I know it's been forever since it's been out, but any of you actually like Minutes to Midnight? I liked maybe 2-3 songs. I loved every song on every other album though...I want old school back ;(

I thought they pretty awsome live tbh, and their latest album did grow on me quite a bit.

Linkin Park Fans over the age of 14... they exist?

Hah, whenever someone so much as mentions Linkin Park you be sure Comrade Badger will be there to make some smartass comment (like he makes any other kind about anything). Give it a rest, seriously.
I liked about half of their new one. Don't care much for Hybrid Theory or Meteora anymore, but a lot of Reanimation is still good.

I find it pretty amazing that people will like them up until like 14 or 15 years old, then realize how shit they are and stop listening. There are very few exceptions.

One of my friends, age 17, is one of those exceptions. He has tried to convince me on a number of occasions that Minutes to Midnight is, and this is a direct quote, "an awesome album".

Same. My friend (same renanimation dipshit) wears LP t-shirts and wristbands on a daily basis.
We've grown apart.

It's hard for me to say if I would like their old albums at this age if I was introduced. I've been listening since like 8th grade though this album is just waaay out of sync with what they had going, hell I'd prefer a meteora reanimation (or should I say remix :P) instead of this. This is the type stuff I'm always hearing on the radio randomly and go bleh at.

Kudos to 'em for being such a major part of my music taste a good 5/6 years ago. Seriously, I've got to give them credit for that just because back then they really were something special, to me, anyway. I use to listen to Hyrbid Theory like hell back in the day. They're going to be a benchmark to me for an album that was really ****ing good, like over the last 3 years it's been At the Drive-In's ''Relationship of Command'' album, or Aphex Twin's ''Drukqs'', etc. I may not like them now, but they were still there and that's pretty important to me.

I dunno, I like some of their stuff. Bit from Meteora, some from Hybrid Theory, heck even a Reanimation song (Points of Authority is the only good song).
However, their new album sucked balls. More stuff like the old songs wouldve been better.
And no, Im not a 14 year old fanboy, I can just admit to liking a few of their songs.

In the End and Numb and Breaking the Habit still have to be their best songs for that time I listened to them..

That's a pretty sad, and stereotypical.
hmmm, I still like them. Ok, the new album was FAR to political for my tastes, but some of the tracks were good.
I still like a lot of the old stuff when I hear it, and I'm 23.
omg, freak, everyone point at me!!!

Some people need to grow up. There's no reason to label someone by what they listen to.

They are good to listen to every once in a while. I do like most of their songs and I will give them credit as they are a very unique band. I am mostly a fan of their first CD and it went downhill from there but it's still not bad music.

wait did you just call linkin park old school?
or do you just mean that you want the old style of linkin park back? because that's ok
my opinion concerning Linkin park: i never listened to nu-metal bands, never cared about them. basically i don't listen to anything that's not from the 70's to early 90's. that's just how it goes, not to sound elitisit or anything. I'm not saying music today sucks ass but it just doesn't interest me.

Linkin park is good in our opinions. If you don't like it, then don't post here, because the thread title says "LINKIN PARK FANS!" and clearly, you are not one.

And you call it emo? Maybe you were not referring to emo rock, but if you were, you don't even know what emo rock means...

I don't listen to them (not my type of music), but today I heard Cure for the Itch and this track's pretty neat.
