What's this for, and how is it calculated?

Its calculated by how many hours you play in the past 2 weeks, and its for showing how cool you are.

i got 9.9 for a week after owning in hl2 deathmatch (im really good at this game now hehe..)

then i started playing tf2 and ep2, and boom steam rating went to 7.1.. :|

In community beta time period was 1 week but now its 2 weeks. Maybe that's why you loose your rating.

Yeah too bad the Steam rating has nothing to do with kills/deaths. Nice try.

Well, I guess I've got to start playing more, mines 0.1 "Teh Suck". :| Maybe when I get my paycheck and buy the Orange box it'll improve. Sigh.

Mine reached 10/10 EAGLES SCREAM! for the first time when OB was released.

Mine's 3.6 -- beat portal and Ep2 though. Considering taking another run through of HL2 and Ep1 -- does PC get achievements for those?

There is no Achvs for HL2 and HL2EP1 on pc same as HDR in HL2

I would have many more hours if TF2 didn't stop being fun after playing the same maps over and over.

You know this week I've played more than ever, yet the rating thing is dropping.

If I play on my account using another PC does it count?

I had 10 Hours when TF2 first came out but before hand i hadent really played much on steam as my cs hay-days were pre-steam. but then i had a week off without net and it went down to 3.9 or something.

I was at home yesterday and suddenly it said one of my friends was playing Peggle Extreme. So I IM him, and get no resonse. Later, he comes over and I'm like "You where playing Peggle Extreme?" he's like "What?" So we get over and he doesn't have it installed...
