PGR4 looks awesome. I'm not a fan of driving games and am tempted to pick it up.

I've always liked the way the series focusses on driving cool - it being all about kudos and wining with style - and according to the Edge review (9/10) no. 4 is more focussed on this than any other PGR. The achievements sounds awesome too - you and a friend having to take first and second places in a race, both going over the finishing line backwards :laugh:

Nice. How does this game compare to Forza 2?It's a breath of fresh air from Forza 2. The graphics are nicer and it's a welcome break to just race instead of worrying about whether your tyre pressures are tuned to the conditions of the track or not.

That said, Forza 2 is better in some places... like vehicle damage, and modifications.

The photo mode adds additional anti-aliasing to really give the edges a very smooth look. The gameplay looks good but not as good as those pics because of the photo mode.

That's one reason I can't get into Forza. I have to play that game just like I was really racing, except without, you know, the reality.

Anyway, I like that first one - I took one similar but my 360 was offline when I took it (xbox live was down for maintenance) and theres no feature to upload photos that are in your offline photos folder (yet). Damnit. Will try recreate it, but I know it won't look as good as the original.

Aye, decided to pop back on. See what was up. On a seperate note, what do you think of PGR 4 mate? I quite like it, but imo it should be called PGR 3.2.. not much of a step up from 3

It's a great game in its own right, but I agree it's not a whole number up from PGR3 ... but since Activision bought Bizarre, it's the last PGR there will ever be (Microsoft hold the rights).

It's a big improvement over PGR3, although there are some aspects of PGR3 I wish they'd kept - such as the many garages and purchasing individual cars - instead of only 4 garages and having to purchase 'car packs'. When you bought a car in PGR3 and added it to your garage, it felt like your car... but in PGR4 this is gone, as you can use cars that aren't even in your garage. The garages aren't connected with the cars you race. Probably not an issue to a lot of people, but it is to me.

Still, well worth buying.

Hehehe, one of my PGR4 photos has got into the '20 MOST DOWNLOADED' on 'PGR on Demand' in-game. That means my photo is on the wall of everyones in-game garages :D
