I have had a look around but cant find this out.

Does anyone know what time TF2 will become active?

It will most likely be around 12:00pm Valve time. (3:00pm Eastern)

Expect to see me playing. :D

Are you talking about the Normal release or beta?

Normal release will be out October 10th at 12:01 AM Valve's Time Zone (-8 GMT a believe)
As for the Beta, sometime monday.

I'll put it this way, we still don't have dedicated servers for TF2(to my knowledge) so....

Its for the servers can download the content in preparation for the DS to be released. It should be released today hopefully(the DS).
