I don't think you are, considering every single preview has likened it to a pixar movie, every single forum member who's seen TF2 has likened it to a pixar movie, and I believe even Valve themselves have said it looks like a pixar movie.

With animation, you can create a lot more than normal shooting can, ie: the amount of gore can be phernomanal
