Yea..I been hearing about the Left 4 dead is for steam but im not sure, Will it work playin Multiplayer without steam?
If not then it would mean it can only work for singleplayer...Am im right?
Oh yeah 1 more thing the reason i'm askin is b.c i quit the steam so im not sure if it can work without steam for the L4D.

What do you mean, you 'quit the steam'?

My guess is that the retail version will install just like CS:S (with steam). The game uses steam / community features after all.

Given it's a Valve game I'd say Steam is an integral component.

Valve games that have been released after 2000 will always require steam. Theres no alternative.

You'd best get steam back if you want to play any Valve games ever again.

Yea i do ned to get the steam back but it wont happen i'd somehow lost 500 dollar for at least 2 weeks! :x

Do you mean that you can't buy L4D on steam because you lost 500 dollars, or do you mean that steam took your money?

Steam is a free download, the games on it you have to pay for.

Steam accounts are free to make, the games cost money.

You cant just "quit steam" , you hav 2 hav it, other wise you couldnt , but if you could , well thats just anuva story.

WTF? Steam itself is 100% free. You sign up for an account (also free) and can purchase games (costs monies). The games you buy are tied to your account so whenever you sign onto that account, Steam will automatically download those games without you having to re-buy them.

Left 4 Dead will be without a doubt a game used through Steam. The only contradiction to this will be the 360 version.

Left 4 dead will undoubtedly be released on Steam, played through Steam etc...
Can't wait, seems like an awesome game!
