OK only one day left for us Uk gamers and I'm still racking my brains on which platform i should get Bioshock on.
My PC can just about play the demo with settings on Medium, so the 360 seems the obvious choice. BUT I hate playing FPS with controllers, its just not right for me... I never feel at one with a FPS when using a controller. Well I came across this adaptor:

Has anyone used one? Seems like just the thing for FPS gamers like me

Looks needlessly expensive.
How hard is it to get familiarly comfortable with a controller on an FPS? Not very. It's much easier than going controller to keyboard and mouse, I can tell you that.
Save your money and get it for the 360. Practice on the demo until it becomes easier.

According to reviews and a few user reports i've read those adapters are very poor - it won't be like playing a pc fps with mouse and keyboard.

Yeah, no matter how long the war against mouse and keyboard vs control pads will go on for, Bioshock feels very fluent and smooth with a pad. As a gamer who has no problem with either, I can easily say anyone should be able to pick up Bioshock with a control and jump right into it in seconds.

True but that was the old version, they have released a new Pro version

This has a X and Y sensitivity wheel which should get rid of that DEADZONE people had in the forst one
Im hoping someone has already tried one. I can play FPS using the 360 controller, but Im always better when using a mouse. Its much faster and more accurate

but Bioshock is not an actio intense game like Gow or COD, so your not alwasy having to look around you

Not quite sure what you are getting at there. :\ Surely that's a good thing if you don't like using control pads; not having to use them as much as you would for faster arcadier games?

That's a bonus. It's twitch shooters that require very fast aiming and spinning about that work better with a mouse. Something like Bioshock is ideally suited to a pad (i'd argue that analogue movement, rumble and trigger buttons make it a better, more immersive experience).

OK so I didnt uy COD3 becasue of the fact Id have to use a pad, the only FPS I have is RB6 wich again doesnt require you to swing around 180 degrees in a hallf a second.
I might justget the XFPS Pro to see what its like

If you do end up buying it, post a review.

I could argue that for every game actually...
Mouse and Keyboard is technically better then the Pad, but the Pad is somewhat more immersive for those that can't touch type, and sometimes even for those who can

I would rather have a keyboard and mouse for every single game, aside from racing games.

I'd take the 360 version, but I play loads of 360 everyday so I'm used to using a controller
