For me personally, all the reviews (and Ken Levine himself) indicate that there are massive plot issues that make the game as great as it is, and any spoilers would, um...spoil the damn near-perfect gaming experience:

A MESSAGE FROM KEN
August 19, 2007

Ken Levine posted this to the 2K forums. I found his words wise, and decided to repost for you all:

If you're going to buy the game this week, I highly recommend you stay away from any forums that might have spoilers until you play the game through. Our goal in making the game was to thrill and, often, surprise you.

Please don't ruin other people's experience by revealing secrets in unmarked threads, and if you want to enjoy the game to its fullest, stay away from any threads that might ruin the fun for you. With a game like BioShock, it will really make a difference.

Best,
Ken

So, for the first time since my first internet experience in 1994, I am cutting myself off to avoid any chance of ruining the experience. Excessive? Maybe, but this may be the one time that it's worth it.

Well, I haven't played the demo, and haven't read any reviews or read anything, actually, so when I see something that someone says is a spoiler, I don't really care, like the achievement for when
you kill atlas
I don't know who that is, so it doesn't really bother me.

Although I'll probably get half-way through the game and remember something like that and be like "oh god damnit. I shouldn't have read anything! F*CK!".

I've read quite a few spoilers, but luckly I just can't acknowledge them for some reason, so it's like, I know they exist, but I really don't.

Some of the spoilers are so crazy,
M. Night Shamalan(Spelling?) must have written this story.

I'm really quite annoyed at the spoiler I read. It's annoyed me because it really is something quite big and...

really unexpected, and for 100 Gamerpoints it's obviously something really quite drastic and extravagant.
