UK Pokemon Summer Day Camp

Ok so is anyone going to the Cardiff one? Or has anyone been to one of the others in the UK? I wanna know what it's gonna be like before I go tommorow. I'm sure there aren't a huge amount of Pok?mon fans here but still, it's worth posting :P

hahaha, don't worry, I don't think it's the Toys R Us in Town but the other one which is further away. So if you're in town tommorow you're not gonna see thousands of kids dressed up as Pikachu or what not.
Just in case anyone is wondering, I'm not dressing up as a Pok?mon....o_0

I hate the fact that you can't catch 'em all and have to go to some kind of event in order to download certain Pokemon. It's silly. D:

If you want one of these pokemon just buy an AR or something.

I actually have an AR but the codes for AR are massive and the Pokemon aren't added to your Pokedex when you get them. And I can't find any for my Xploder either. =/

I f***ing lol'd XD. It's not a camp as such, you just go to Toys R Us then they give you a free Mew for R/S/E, you get to play on Battle Rev. for the Wii and then do some trades/tradebacks to help with your Pokedex and then battle some people to prove who can waste more hours in a day than anyone else leveling up your Pokemon. It's only for a few hours.

Sorry but I don't take notice of what Solaris says, basically because he's full of this political crap but he lives in the countryside where everything is fair and happy and the only murders are about who wins the baking/flower/wife-beating contest.

And yes my idea of the countryside is based off of Midsomer Murders.

And I've never heard him actually talk about video games on this site even though I don't see his posts very often.

So yeah, no life re-thinking for me. :)

IT does die. this is how the pokemon trend works:
Red/blue comes out. It's an awesome thing, and everybody loves it.
Yellow comes out. Everything about the show, without the gayness!
--a bit of a slum after kids find funner games--
Gold/Silver comes out. holy shit, NEW POKEMON!
Drags in all the old fanboys, but promptly gets boring after being mastered.

Crystal wasn't all that special.

Ruby, Sapphire comes out. the best ones yet! extreme win.

emerald also wasn't that special, I missed off on that one. I have it now, though.

Suddenly, Diamond and Pearl are announced, after most of the old fans had gone to more gorey slugfests. All pokemon fans, or people who even just enjoyed the game, are drawn in to see how much has changed. they come back to the fun of the old ones, with a new storyline, albeit, the new Team wasn't all that cool. But what kept this one in long-term, is that now theres online battling and trading- a whole new reason to level all your pokemons up to level 100, (which only hardcore fans would even attempt, must fans stop at 70-80.)
And it should stay strong until late '07. And the trading system is useless unless you are looking for rare pokemon, and have something reletively okay to trade for it: Some of the requests are outrageous, like someone who wants a level 100 legendary for a level 50 legendary, or someone who wants a level 100 first stage starter for a legendary. Insane. I did manage to get a milotic online..
IT EVEN HAS A JAPANESE NAME. Which, happens to be milotic. Insane!
