Stormtroopers were cake in every star wars game. I'm curious to see how a real fight would go down. I mean, if the 'boss' opponents have the same control of the force it could get pretty crazy.

Is this coming for PC? EDIT: Quick google reveals it is not. Lame. I own the whole dark forces/jedi Knight series :(.

Yeah, I have the series too.

But still, the character is too strong, leaves no climax or challege. Just like Superman or Neo from the Matrix.

Oh come off it, the game is nowhere near finished. You can't just say that there's no challenge from a few promo vids.

Considering there WILL be jedi-on-jedi battles in this game, there will be plenty of opponents. Stormtroopers are, as any Jedi Knight fan will know, merely for toying with.

the jedi on jedi battles in Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast were so much fun, not button mashing at all. Its a shame a lot of star wars games dont use the same sabre battle system.

Yeah, I would wait and see how the exact gameplay looks like before I judge it.

On a side note I absolutely love the Jedi Knight series, probably Jedi Academy being my personal favorite because of the insane saber battles that you can create.

One fun thing I like to do is to open the singleplayer game and choose one of the multiplayer duel maps. From there on spawn some weak cultist's, probably 10 of them, and fight them with preferably a staff. If you want a REAL challenge though try dueling a boss, Tavion or Desann, on Jedi Master. :E

Not to mention the fact that Darth Vader pulls down an entire Star Destroyer, that opens a whole new can of worms.

-If he really is THAT strong, that puts so many holes into the original movies, like why Darth Vader didn't just park his tie fighter, and clap his hands everytime two X-Wings went by and watch them crash together while he sits eating crumpits with tea. So over the top.

Hell, if he could do that, he wouldn't need a Death Star, he might as well just have cracked a planet in half with his fart

Awsome, looking pretty sweet. If the sabre battles are as solid as the Jedi Knight/Academy sabre fights its win win, some of them lasted ages. And yeah, the Stormtroopers are always mere cannon fodder, you could easily run up to them, deflecting their shoots and cut em to bits. But its still really satisfying, dispatching a whole group of them in one combo and then 'Force Chocking' one of them before throwing them into a wall or the edge of a cliff, man I loved doing that :D

Yeah, I only wish they were a bit more intelligent enough to sense that they're engaging a Jedi. Most of the time, hell they are just basically standing there getting sabered to death, it's fun but not very rewarding imo.

However I must say that fighting soldiers with grenades or rocket launchers can be very fun. Seeing a grenade flying in your path? Just force push it back to the guy hoping it'll land right in front of his feet. Same thing with the rocket guys, just force push when the rocket is near enough and it'll go straight back to the guy who's smart enough to stand there until it reaches him :laugh:

I love the force choke in the game, mostly at level 3 when you can pick them up and throw them across the map like the sinister bastard you are. ;)
Force lightning level 3 is also another fun force, devastating when using against weaker opponents, hell even the weaker Dark Jedi's will die within a few seconds. Not so fun when someone is using it against you though. :P

Anyway yeah, I hope Force Unleashed's combat is somewhat similar to the Jedi Knight series. I also hope that it's not too concentrated on the actual force but also in saber combat.

Stormtroopers are so ****ing stupid.

The thing I always wondered about - if Jedi can so easily deflect lasers, why even use beam weapons? The sand people had rifles that fired regular bullets of some variety - I doubt a Jedi would be able to stop many of those.

Edit - Unless they pulled a Neo with the force... is that possible?
