I never liked the other rainbow 6 games, thought they were too slow and just plain booring. So thats what i thought R6 Vegas would be till a friend of mine gave me a free copy (he cant play it cuz he has Vista). The game is simply stunning, the graphics are GREAT and the most important=GAMEPLAY. Im enjoying every single second of this game, its fantastic!
The thing i love the most is the enemys conversations, just like NOLF etc :D I was in the kitchen with a deagle in my hand and a shield in my other. I sneak around till i hear a few soldiers, i peak and look at them and right when i was about to shot his head open he said something that made me stop! Heres what the 2 guys talked about:
"hey dude, should we go out there and check?"
"you do it"
"no, what if they are out there"
"your crazy man"
"no no, what if they are, maybe they are listening to us RIGHT NOW, and maybe...just maybe, he has his gun pointed at my head RIGHT this second...hes looking at me right now, ready to fire any second now"
"dude your scaring me stop it"
"riiiiiiight noooooow"
BAMMMM i blast his ****ing head open and i ****ING JUMPED in my chair in satisfaction cuz GOD DAMN it feelt good. Never in my life of gaming have a kill feelt that good, it was PERFECT.
Seriously, get this game its amazing!!!!!

"I think we've got a situation."
"What kind of situation?"
"The killing kind."
"The killing kind?"
The conversations are fun at first but they get old after the 1,000th time you've heard them.
As for the game itself, I enjoyed it, though I wish it had Ghost Recon 1 style planning. It irritates the hell out of me when I can't send my men to places I don't have direct line of sight with and that you can't issue go-codes.

i would get this game. Except my video card is missing the 3.0 shader requirement or something, and the X800XL is still a good card to have. Crappier Nvidia cards have 3.0 shader...

PC version of Vegas = Crap! To quote a clan mate.
they made a franchise out of it, just to make quick money

I really wanted to like this game, but a combination of factors kind of kept me at bay. From a distance all the features they've put in there seem good seperately, but together they can be a headache at times and they lack the real polish of a certain similar title (*cough*Gears).
Loved the original games, but after the initial coolness this one didn't do much for me.

i enjoyed vegas multiplayer WAAAY better than GoW multiplayer

Well, I failed miserably at both, so I guess I enjoyed them about equally. Chainsaw deaths tip it a bit in favour of GoW... but then grenade melee tips it right back. Lol.

The co-op play is amazing. But the conversations wont beat Max Payne lol.
'Its so unfair. They few me in here for nuthin! I said I was on the way to get the guns, I didn't actually have the guns on me!

It`s a good shooter, but a bad ****ing R6.
Shittiest in the series imo, tops lockdown.
Good series dumbed down to consoles.

I too have the PC version.
Great game. The Co-op aspect of the game is a lot of fun and challenging as well.
It is a bit buggy though.

Original Rainbow Six was best, I've got it and my mates play it all the time, but I find it to be a big crock o shit

Rogue Spear ftmfw.
Raven Shield was also great, if only for the graphical upgrade and the finally visible weapons.

I have the one on the n64, and it was awesome when it came out... but I cant even stand it anymore. I agree that rogue spear is the winnar though. TBH I liked every one that I played (which was all but lockdown)

I downloaded the demo of Lockdown and wanted my bandwidth back.
Yes, R6 Vegas runs perfectly on Vista despite what everyone says, but that doesn't change the fact that XP is alot better for gaming than Vista is at the moment. Mind you the PC-version was badly ported to begin with.
I really enjoyed Vegas, strictly as a fast action shooter but it hasn't got much in common with the previous games, disregarding Lockdown :x
Like someone said, everything these days is so console-friendly, dumbed down. No more choice of strategic planning :(
