What does "that" refer to when Gman says this? And futhermore, why are the vortigaunts purple?? I am only up to the end of Lowlife, so no spoilers plz.

Don't worry about spoilers because when you finish the game you won't exacty get more answers for your questions wait for ep2 there hopefully we will get an answer for what happened to Gman and the vortgaunts.

I'm pretty sure that by "that", that G-Man will be taking action towards getting Gordon back or summat, and I think the vortigaunts were people because they were all.. Hologrammy.

By "that" he meant "We'll see about you being stolen from me" or something to that effect.
In other words he's angry and he's going to try and capture you again or something.
It honestley doesn't take that big knowledge of the Half Life world to understand this. In fact you really only need to know basic english language...

Call me crazy but maybe it was Gordan's own free will that he escaped from the Gman like maybe he called out to the Vortigaunts to come to save him since he is interconnected with the Vortessence and that explains why the Gman was staring at Gordan it was his doing.
I guess my theory isn't making sense just something I thought of when I was playing ep1 again.

... I think it was stated somewhere that Eli ordered the vortigaunts to save Alyxm and Gordon. Don't remember where, but It's been said.

Well if Eli was surprised to see Gordan at the beginning of episode 1 then he couldn't of sent the vortigaunts to help Gordan they must of done it themselves.
Why was the Gman staring at Gordan looking like he was angry at Gordan for allowing this to happen maybe he was just stating that to Gordan that he shouldn't get comfortable with the little freedom he just earned that he will reclaim Gordan soon.
