Question

I just got hl2 death match. I play Half life no problem but on hl2 the cross hairs are to light may be my monitor and i don't like them. So if i install custom cross hairs like i have for ut004 i just wanted to make sure that the vac don't think its a cheat and ban me from my new game. Thanks for any help. :(

I'm pretty sure you can change the crosshair stuff in the options, but maybe thats just in CS:S. As for installing custom crosshairs that should be fine. I would avoid running any .exe files for custom crosshairs though.

I looked all through options cant find it. i might have missed it but i dont think so I just have death match not the full game. And congrats on your 666 post.:devil:

You can't change the crosshairs.

Unless you export and reimport a darker version of the textures.

I have found the cross hairs i want. I know how to change them i just need to know if the vac anti cheat system is going to kick and ban me if i change them. Thanks for any help.:eek:

I actually don't know. VAC doesn't ban reskins in CSS, so it shoudln't ban reskins in HL2DM.

Thanks All I changed them now i can see them no problem. I'm not a cheat i just could not see the default cross hairs. if anybody has this problem go to http://www.bullseyecrosshairs.com/hl2sites3.shtm Its not a cheat it just changes your cross hairs so you can see them better. I'm old 46 and when i got this game yesterday it was fun but the cross hairs were so dim i had trouble seeing them mostly when i was run and gun. This fixed it and now I'm :smoking:
