The turning sucked on the 360, along with the gameplay for the most part. Maybe they should improve that for the PC.

I really disliked this game on the 360. No chance I'll check out the PC demo. I'll be interested though to hear what people have to say about the PC version and DX10. Hopefully Lost Planet fans will enjoy it.

it won't at current state of the driver, Nvidia still hasn't delivered a DX10 driver support.

I don't care what anybody says.

I saw a video of this game running on a 360 demo unit, and this game looks incredible.

It was like a highlight reel of gameplay, and the graphics, special effects, weapons, environments, enemies, settings, etc. Everything looked tight.

I don't want to know anything else about the game. Just let the game speak for itself.

play the demo.

A welcome to the PC platform.

I played some of it on a demo console at MicroCenter, and I loved it...the creatures creeped me out, and the graphics were fully impressive!

I played the game a few months back when it was initially released. The first level was awesome, which kept me playing. Truth be told I came very close to giving up on it, but I forced myself to stick with it. The storyline is a bit nonsensical at times, but it's still entertaining. In the end, I was satisfied.

Hopefully everything will be situated by the time the demo comes out.

I can't wait to find out the difference between DX9 and DX10. You guys with DX10 cards and Vista, make sure you do some comparisons, and let us know.

Looks cool, but if Capcom's doing the port... they'll **** it up somehow.

Heh I bought this game for me 360 just three days ago, despite the negative comments in this thread, I actually quite like it! From what I've gathered it uses the same game-engine as Dead Rising(Also a Capcom 360 game), it's very fun to play but way to short imo.:)

And it can be a bit tiresome with the 'warmth' meter or w/e its called, it runs out quite easily for me, and I'm just playing on bloody Normal!

I thought it was other developers that **** up Capcom's games... like Resident Evil 4 PC

Every Capcom port I have seen has changed what people thought that system could do!

For example, Street Fighter II for SNES was about as close to the arcade as you could hope for, without putting quarters in your SNES, and the SNES had a 3 Mhz processor

I have played about a dozen capcom ports and they have all been perfect, so I wouldn't worry. We may even see an extra feature? :stare:

VirusType, the difference is Capcom has barely any experience with console > PC ports in all honesty.. Like Onimusha 3 for PC.

You see, Capcom has quite a bit of experience developing games for various consoles, but not for PC, which ofcourse makes it harder for them to make proper PC ports, which I guess is the reason almost all of their PC ports are outsourced to other development groups.

Yeah, that's true, and that even crossed my mind. I wasn't aware of any PC ports actually.

Capcom did the Onimusha 3 PC port?

I would have already bought that, but I already beat that one years ago on the PS2 on a rental, so obviously it's pretty short, and my experience with it was somewhat mixed. It's like the series borrowed so much from RE that it just seems kind of all used up and old news or something.

Always has epic ancient Japanese orchestra music (or whatever it's called) that I love though.

I may still buy it. You got to remember that it's probably a port of a PS2 game. What's wrong with it?

On the graphics side of things I find it funny that even though they had worked with the ATI GPU on the Xbox360, they are doing the PC port with assistance from Nvidia. (http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=13500)

Yes it runs great on vista 64bit. ****ing nvidia they need to sort out their SLI for 7 series Now.... I need both cards to run so I can enjoy it at higher res.

at the moment I am playing with one single card because of the vista driver. the res i am using is 1280x760..somthing like that. and 16xAFF. evyrthing is on high except for the shadow quality is on medium. The dam driver is shit under vista.

**** you Nvidia for not building a good driver......:flame:

I am getting new system one week before crysis.  DX10 ftw

Soon supporting DX10 only is unlikely mate, not until atleast 2009 tbh.

Anyway, I played the DX9 demo, and in all honesty I prefer it with a joypad, that's what the game was designed for from the beginning anyway, good thing I can jack in my 360 joypad to my PC without any problems <3

Btw, Gorgon, is your Vista 64-bit legal or warezed?:> I'm just asking around, I've noticed alot of people who spend like insane amounts of money on their computers, yet they cant be arsed to purchase an OS, cheapskates.

lost planet requires sm3.0 which is dx9; sm4.0 is dx10 only.........i said it will "support" it not be the only way you can play. my point was that most new games will not be using sm2.0 anymore.

I can run it fine on my 8800gtx and core 2 duo at 3.3, but the game is pretty lame imo. It's just shooting, shooting, running and shooting some more. Running feels kinda slow but the weapons feel great. Clearly an xbox game with just good graphics. I'll pass.

Which is utter bullshit. I have an AGP motherboard that I got exactley 1 year ago. ALL of the good 3.0 cards I can find are now PCI-express (which I find also extremely retarted). In short, this means I will have to shell out at least 500 bucks just to be able to play any of the latest games at all. I might as well upgrade my whole damn system with dualcore, PCI and DX10. (what an idiot I was for thinking 64bit AMD and AGP 8X were the wave of the future and that dualcores and PCI were just a fad)

lol, you're pissed off at other people because you made a dumb decision to buy a agp board based on a stupid conclusion that pci-e was a "fad." This makes me lol. Seriously, how could you think multi-core processors and faster graphics processing technology would be a fad?

LOL. That is really funny. hahahah.

Don't feel bad, there are tons of outdated old games that nobody cares about that you can play until your heart is content.

lol

Sorry, I'm being a dick. Seriously though, there are tons of games you can play. I have a 6 month old computer with a 4 month old $250 PCIexpress x16 card and I'm not even going to bother downloading it, because it won't play good - if at all!

My computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Though it still might play (probably badly), I'm planning on upgrading in June or July. I hear that dual and quad core processors will drop in price to a fraction of what they used to cost. About $230. You should wait to upgrade until then, then you can be on the cutting edge, playing new releases on max settings and getting blown out of your seat. woot:bounce:

Don't forget this is an xbox 360 game. You know, the system that is roughly equivalent to having 2 7900 graphics cards and a 3 core processor?

Wow. Nice one. PCI-e has been the clear future for at least two years now and is a very stable platform. What this tells me is that you didn;t research anything before dropping cash on your computer. Next time you might want to do that.

So I played the demo on Steam, and it was utter garbage. Once you get into settings, what you click on is NOT what you will change..attempting to change a setting on the right panel blanks out a random entry on the left panel...

Once you get into settings, the video test, or the game, there is no way to exit! It just keeps you stuck there, and you have to hard reboot to exit it!

Gay in the ultimate!

wut?

I dont think i had any of those problems. I exited just fine. I think your just missing some marbles.

Anyways, is the game supposed to take a second before your mouse moves register? It kind of feels like its from a bad frame rate, but everything looks really smooth, and keyboard + mouse clicks register as fast as normal. Also, what are the different mouse control types? I tried changing them, but i didnt notice any difference.

Like for Oblivion, this is a popular tweak to remove the mouse lag.

one of those Nvidia tweakers can do it. I still don't know if that will fix the particular problem you are having though.

I'm not sure, 'cool bits', stuff like that are nvidia tweakers right?
