Freeman's Job Acceptance Letter

I was reading Gordon Freeman's wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Freeman), and came across this.

My question here, is, who is this LM who has signed the letter?

Strange. It should be "WB" if it's actually the Administrator's initials,but I imagine Breen was a high-security VIP, rememeber at the start of HL1, 'Administrative Sponsor: Classified'

Although it might be Lamarr, you never know.

Dear George, thanks for poring over those letters...I wondered if anyone
would ever notice those lowly initials, appended by whichever
administrative assistant happened to be in the office that day to do the
official typing. As you may know, before coming to Valve, I held a
number of temp word processing and admin jobs; Manpower sent me for a
stint to the Alaskan pipeline, but it was already finished and there was
no one needing typing at that point, and then immediately after to Black
Mesa, which ran out of funding for temp administrative assistants
shortly after my arrival. In fact, I lasted one day in New Mexico, and
quickly fled. So as not to confuse my word processing career with my
developing reputation as a professional writer, I did not want to sign
"ML" to any of my typing. So I reversed the letters. For this, and
many greater transgressions of which you may become aware shortly, I
apologize. Oh, one more thing: This hasn't happened yet. - LM in the
mirrorworld

Hello, Mr. Newell.

Recently I was reading through the wikipedia entry for Gordon Freeman,
and came across his job acceptance letter.

I noticed this was signed by a "LM." I posted about this on the
HalfLife2.net forums, to see if I had missed something, and maybe others
could fill me in. It appears as though a few hadn't thought about it,
and gave some amusing answers such as Lammar.

One user posted that it was Landon Montgomery, administrator of VALVe,
and I'm not sure if that was a sarcastic answer, as I don't recall
hearing of a Landon Montgomery from VALVe.

Can this be confirmed? Is this a small detail that will be uncovered in
upcoming Half-Life 2 titles? Or a clever easter egg?

Laidlaw obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. Gordon's letter was dated the 5th of May, Calhoun's the 9th and Green's the 11th. All signed 'LM'. That is at least 7 days, not the one as he said. He's such a Half-Life n00b :p

Also, he said that "this hasn't happened yet". That means that Half-Life takes place in the future! Either in 2008 or 2009!
