At the end of HL1 Gman didn't take Gordon's suit because if he stripped Gordon and saw his ripped body, the temptation would be too great and he would blow his cover, cause see,Gman is a code name for GAY MAN!

It is quite interesting to consider this as a showing of the Gman's control over Gordon's poor life and the circumstances he encounters. He drops Gordon on a train heading to City 17, so sure Gordon will meet the resistance that he promises Gordon his HEV suit as "earned."

Then again, if Gordon jumped off the train and broke his neck, no one would know Gman told Gordon anything. Smooooooth, Gman. Real smooth :P
