Sony giving away free stuff?

They had just been told they had been rewarded for their patience and loyalty with a free ?2,500 high-definition TV on which to play their shiny new console.

Though the cheap bastards didn't do it nation-wide.

Yeah, I would have sh*t myself if I were in line and they announced that. Of course, I may have sh*t myself already after waiting in line that long....

Kudos to Sony for all that. Free coffee/drinks, taxi rides home AND a free 2 grand TV. Now thats how a launch should go down. PS3 couldn't intrest me in the slightest, but I'll give them credit for doing this.

In summary the price. You are paying 425 pounds for something not worth 425 pounds. Sure it has 8 processors and blu-ray technology therefore it should be obliterating the competition but it's not here is an example:

as you can see the graphics are far superior on the 360 version despite using 3 processors against 8 and DVD media instead of blu-ray.

Also for this price SONY needs a good reason to make people buy it like good games exclusive to the PS3

as you can see not alot and IMO there is only one game on that list that is a must buy and that is MGS4 but one game does not warrant the purchase of a console. Personally I will be waiting until the price goes down and the PS3 gets some good games before getting a PS3.
