..That is played by the player!

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/18/lord-of-the-rings-online-music-system/

The music system allows players to purchase an instrument from a vendor and play the instrument using the keyboard. It's not pre-recorded and impressive when you see a player in-game performing. Developers told us that the latest version of the music system compensates for lag allowing for bands to perform and sync properly.

I think this sounds awesome. It's great fun dancing in sync with a load of other players in Guild Wars for example, now we can get some music to dance to :D

But sounds like a great feature!

Great feature. Too bad I don't make music. I only listen to it.

As a beta tester, I've seen it in action and it's pretty awesome. Alot of people are playing guitar tunes, Super Mario, and themes from the movie. It does kind of lag the area though.

It's awesome and it's easy to put out stuff that sounds good.

The only thing that I found interesting in the game. I spent more time playing with the intruments than anything else.

I read about this somewhere else (don't remember where). The idea is really cool.

it's kinda annoying if you ask me ...go nto a public square and you'll hear people trying (ineptly I might add) to play their instrument ..need more guitar less stinking flutes

I found out I can get the beta from Fileplanet. I'll try my hand at the lute. See if I can upset any players :naughty:

the easiest way to get into the beta is to sign up as soon as they do a stress test (every weekend) ..then after the stress test you'll be invited back to play ..been in the beta for over a month

It turned out I still have it on my computer and the account is still valid. Updating now. This is a great way to quit WoW: start another MMORPG ....

I'm looking for an MMO to hold me over until October. I bought and tried Vanguard; that was crap. I don't enjoy WoW. EVE isn't appealing/boring, imo. Hmm.

it's like wow in many ways ..it's fun but if you didnt like WoW I doubt you'll like any MMO to be honest. WoW despite all it's faults is still the most fun mmo out there

Guess what? You need to be level 20 to play tunes. I am not gonna make that in one night probably. It is pretty fun though. It looks a lot better than when I tried it two months ago. Runs a lot smoother too even though the nooby area seemed pretty packed. I'll play a bit more, I guess.

No. You can buy the passive skill of instrument use at level five. All I need now is to find out WHERE to buy one.

Yeah, same here. Under which name are you logged in? I am on the Northmoor server and I am a cute freckled halfling called Zarzuela :naughty:
