Impressive. Beautiful style and fantastic music.

It's pretty, but it looks like it would get boring after a while. It would, however, make a pretty screensaver.

Looks pretty darn great to me!! Of course, I am a HUGE Electroplankton fan, so it certainly stands to reason that this would be right up my alley...:E

Uhh, woah! Does anyone else recognise this game? It used to be a flash game... Looks VERY similar, besides the 3d ness...
Aha! Found it.

So... good for them, turning their game into a PS3 game!
Haha for some reason I feel so proud of myself that I recognised this...

I really like that. Hey look at me. I'm saying something nice about the PS3. But seriously, I like it.
Could have been better on Wii.
Hah. Balance is restored.

Actually, I don't think it'd be that great on the Wii. (And it wouldn't look nearly as good, that DOF is amazing...) That game is a slow, time consuming game. I'd not want to sit there with my arm out pointing at the screen for hours on end, unlike other games where you aren't constantly pointing. A joystick is perfectly fine for simple movement like this, perhaps even desireable.

Yes but the other people in this thread did not know that (or they didn't say they did... Especially the guy asking if there was a PC version) :O ;) :D

Yea, I loved the flash game of this :) Interesting thesis as well.
Man, they made it look awesome for the PS3 :D At least, better than the PC flash version.
I wish they would release this on the XBLA, because I would definitely buy it then...

I reckon Wii could handle that DoF. It's more powerful than it looks, that little white box. It's not THAT impressive anyway, only one plane. :P
Plus, most Wii games I play with my hand in my lap now. I can point at the screen just as well and my hand gets less tired than when using a remote for because I can put it into any position I want. Considering it's only a quick game that lasts maybe an hour or so, it would be ideal for a VC download too.
Sorry, I don't agree with your logic. :P

Looks like Snake meets Spore. Meh, doesn't really impress me, even on a graphical level... and usually this stuff is like whoa when I'm this tired.

Wow, it looks way better than the flash version(obviously). Definately must get. It would be great if it were on the wii.

I wonder what they're charging for it though.
No-one's going to pay more then $20 for something like that, and I imagine that base price has to be higher than that just to pay for the ps3 dev kit / disc manufacture

One of the lead designers is also the guy that made Cloud. He's now working at Maxis, on Spore :D

About $10 I believe, IIRC Blast Factor is $10.

I don't understand why would would buy this? Does it have MP? If it's just the same 5-10 levels of eating balls...where's the replay factor there? ;(

It's not aimed at hardcore gamers. Which might be a bit of a problem, I don't know of any 40 year old housewives that play their son's PS3.

People who want to waste their time. :p
No but seriously, I found the flash version pretty damn addictive. Probably gonna waste my money on this. :E

I dunno ... for $5 I'd get it. I don't think I'd spend much more than that.
The PC version is amazing, and although it looks like they've improved it a lot I don't think it would really be worth it just for the upgrade.
However, I do hope they continue down this path with future games. I like these simple, cerebral types of games ... just that I've already played this one a fair bit.

I've been playing the PC one for a bit now and I am about to see Mr. Sandman, bobbin noggin and all.
Cool game though. I don't get how huge red thing attacked me, then I ate it's ball and it turned white and flew into the background. :|

I was like completely attached to that flash version for about an hour earlier, got to the second stage of being. I was a circle thing instead of a line thing.

Alright, well basically the "huge red thing" is when an enemy spots you and starts trying to attack you... You will notice there are various spheres/balls on it and basically you need to attack those without going into it's "head" depending on the creature.
Then once you get them all the creature dies and you can eat the food so you can upgrade :)
I didn't know that the first time I played, and I just ignored those and kept going through the levels without attacking anything other than the snake type things.
