ah numbers I can always count on you having a childish reaction to such grim news ..people died on both sides

Still, on a strategical/effectivness point of view, 200 hostile dead for 5 friendly dead isn't really bad.

and this is something new? during desert storm 148 coalition soldiers died (asome from friendly fire/acidents) while anywhere from 30,000 - 100,000 iraqi soldiers died ..it's more like a turkey shoot than a war

oh and both sides are hardly even when it comes to firepower ..the equivilant in videogame form would be team deathmatch on a 64 man server, except 31 of my teamates just driopped out, my side is locked and I'm down to a single gernade and a knife

ya like they're winning in iraq (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/12/19/AR2006121900880.html) <- and that's the safe "we're not doing too bad" version

NAJAF, Iraq (CNN) -- Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and other top Shiite religious figures were the apparent targets of an insurgent plot thwarted in an intense battle near the Shiite Muslim holy city of Najaf, Iraqi officials said.

I was listening to the radio on the way to class and they were talking about how the Iraqi's took the fight to the insurgents, only when they discovered 100's of fighters did they call for American back up. I'm glad Iraq is trying to stand on her feet. Perhaps this can be a turning point in the war for Iraq.

The reason we aren't winning is because of the constant QQ here in the US.
same thing with Vietnam.

QQ? what's QQ? and how can any one issue in the US stop them from winning the war in iraq?

QQ=crying,complaining,whining.

The Democrats keep on bitching but the only thing they can up with is to "leave"

how does whining lose the war in iraq?

might I remind you:

I can't tell you if the use of force in Iraq today will last five days, five weeks or five months, but it won't last any longer than that.

getting in was the biggest priority ..not what they did once they got there

and bush's "lets lie about Iraq's threat, bomb them to living shit, occupy their country and then put/support a puppet regime that favours our interests into power which will lead to sectarian violence finally spiralling into all out civil war ..oh and cant forget all those generous campaign contributors ..lets hand them big fat no bid contracts for rebuilding iraq, but they wont actually do anything except sipher cash into their own pockets" plan is much better?

Wow, just ... wow!

Thats incredible, 300 dead? !

Awesome, dude !!

By the way, did anyone catch this amazing bit at the end of the page? ... Separately, a Washington-based think-tank says Iraq is rapidly sliding deeper into civil war.

The Brookings Institution says the fighting is likely to spill over into neighbouring countries, resulting in mass deaths, serious disruption of Gulf oil supplies and a drastic decline in US influence in the region. Woot!!
Thats some seriously AWESOME analysis right there !!!

Mass death, disruption of oil supplies, decline in US influence !?

WOOT, WOW AMAZING AWESOME !!

YOO - ESS - EH ....

We don't spell our letter A as "eh". We spell it as ay. I know you are thinking that is "I", but no, "I" is aye. Eh is eh as in "meh" as in "meh at your overbearing, misplaced sarcasm". :D
