Do you mean you have HL1? The only place that has someone actually asks you do scale a wall to follow at the beginning in that game is in the tutorial. You're not so dumb as to get stuck in a tutorial, are you? Anyway, as with almost any game where climbing is involved, just find the place you can climb (usually looks like a ladder or similar)look up, and press forward. You just can't go wrong. Oh wait...

I have HL2. At the beginning, after you get the weapon, the girl says follow me and scales a wall. There is a ladder close by, but no luck, yet.

I managed to jump up the wall she went up, but the commentary revealed I was actually supposed to use the GG to pull on the grates and stuff off to the right to get up. Oops :(

On a similar note, I didn't realize I had to use the batteries to get past the big porticullis in sandtraps until my third or fourth time through... I kept wondering why the guy was tellign me to put my car in the garage when I didn't have it anymore, because I couldn't get it past that part :/

Much thanks, Que-Ever! I was right. It was a dumb question. Once I started destroying the ladder/gate, the way was open. I'll be more dilligent in the future. (Now, all I have to do is find out what a "roller-mine" is...Ha)

Right - so by "half-life" you meant "EP1". I love calling things the wrong name completely when asking for help and confusing the people trying to help too. It's so....intelligent.

Ahhh let Shasta be nasty more, it means he will be banned eventually for continual trolling, we have been keeping an eye out for it recently!

Also - to the thread starter, this is a pretty simple technique which you should know, it seems you haven't played HL2 prior to Episode 1, so I suggest you play that first.

"Will be banned for trolling"?! Puh-lease. There are entire threads on this site dedicated to "penis sharks", "werewolf parties", "what is your bed-time?", and of course "Cereal". Yet I am the biggest problem here -that needs to be threatened with banning, apparently- just for pointing out why getting a name right is important, and similar things that are just common sense, to those that have none. Oh joy. Perhaps I should stop trying to help people, or "trolling" as you want to call it, and make threads about "what colour is your faeces today?". Would that be more acceptable and helpful to the community?

Shasta, I thought we had this debate before? You should only help people in a civilised manner. If you don't feel like doing that, think of it this way: that's their loss, and your gain.

(I like to help people btw I don't care if they just post "onoes help" as long as they are polite :D)
