HEV Suit In A Strange Place...

I am sure that this might have been found before but this morning I was just noclipping around some of the maps to look at some otherwise inaccessible nooks and crannies and just generally having fun around Gmod when I suddenly felt the need to noclip nearer to Breen when he about to travel through the combine portal and I found this... :imu:

I am unsure as to whether this is Gordons HEV suit or one for Breen to use once he get's through the portal into the hostile enviroment. I'm not even sure what it does... Can anybody clarify as to what it is and what it's doing there? And before anybody says that it's an HEV suit, yes we know that one. ;)

Does this picture imply that Gordon was running around in his undies? :o

In a dark shaft IIRC. Possibly the shaft you start the level in.

I think I went there and I found all the weapons that appeared confiscated at the start of the level but no HEV suit... still every strange. I think we need someone with a little more experience to tell us why Breen is sitting on top of an HEV suit. :P

Since when do you need more than 2 years experiance to discuss speculations in Half-Life 2? You just need to know the game in and out and have a good imagination.

I did not put it there in Gmod. Is there an HEV suit in Gmod? I think not. I was in Gmod at the time and died numerous times before getting down there however I did not place the suit there. :sleep: :frown:

You can spawn anything in the game. Even the citadel.

One time I was taking out the garbage and when I opened the lid to my bin I found a HEV suit in there. It was a mk. 6, too. But when I closed the lid so no one else would find it and I came back the next day, it was gone.

But seriously, I've looked at Breen Numerous times in Dark Energy, there is no HEV suit there. I do believe you can spawn ANYTHING in gmod, and once I heard about spawning citdaels, my mind was rushing with possibilities... but I don't have gmod, or a computer of my own fast enough for it =(

No you cant, just a skybox model.

Because the interior is seperate maps!

A lot of the game involves sophisticated illusion. Or relies on the player not attempting to suspend their belief in the game (mainly because games are supposed to immersive and to break that on purpose runs contrary to enjoyment... generally.)
