I'm curious. I've been out of the loop for so long now, I don't know if I'm up to date for next years games. Maybe you tech-gurus can help.

AMD FX-57 2.8ghz single core processor
1GB Corsair XMS PC4000 RAM
160GB WD Caviar HD
The rest is shits and giggles that don't matter.
I'm upgrading my card to a DX10 card when ATI comes out with one, so consider that in the rig too. Am I ok? Or do I need to start saving?

You'll probably want another gig of ram

I agree with Keane, the ram is gonna be your bottleneck.

You have a nice high-end cpu so you'll prolly be good for a while on that. It's hard to say how much multi-core cpu's are gonna catch on with game developers. I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see multi-core cpu in the minimum req. of some games before long tho. Just something to consider.
