my Squier sucks.

I have a Squier P-bass, '02 or '03. It has fretbuzz, I've the input broke off when I accidentally stepped on the cord, the knobs fall off twice a day, Fiding replacement parts is a bitch- I have to carve up pickguards to fit over the (weak) pickups and I have to make my own nuts. The paint is chipped, the body is dented, The fretboard is stained- but it's all I have and I love it with all my heart.

Yeah, Squiers do suck. The low-end Epiphones are way better instruments.

Dad's Squier Strat is still running strong after 10 years of punishment (no offense dad... well maybe a teensy bit :)).

They are surprisingly well-built, even if they do sound like ass. Easy to play too.

Squiers are like the hundyais of the guitar industry...a much better cheap choice would be an epiphone, the..er....toyota of the guitar industry.
