I just started to play this and it can actualy be quite fun. Just wanted to know if there are any HL2.net'ers out there that play it too. It's free, and if you don't know what it is check it out here (http://www.warrock.net).

i played it awhile ago and i enjoyed it but its basically just a bf2 knock off.

We're all forgetting that EA and DICE arn't making this one. It should prove to be ALOT better in the end.

Yeah but when's the 'end'? I had a blast playing BF2 while WarRock lost me after a couple nights. I doubt WarRock will ever get close to the level of fun I had in BF2, it just seemed too arcadey and too dumbed down. Not having an attack heli + gunner basically killed it for me...

Meh, I play it when I need a break from realistic gaming for some down right sillyness (which is more or less what WR is for me). There are (with it being a beta at the moment) still niggleing problems, with most games that arnt on the CQC section (which is basically a rip off of CS's demolition game mode) break down into one side controling all the points but the enemy main (which cant be capped), parking up thier tanks getting in sniping positions a base raping until the tickets run out (there's no ticket bleed ala battlefields ATM).

Anyway, Bob's top tips:

1. Medics are the best combat class. Thier base weapon is one of (if not the) best in the game, and they can heal themselves. Thier only disadvantage is limited range and no frags.

2. HWUs > Tanks > everything else on the ground. Used right even the basic AT rocket launcher can destroy a heavy tank in under 3 seconds

3. All full auto, all the time!

anyone else annoyed by the hit registry? I mean I pump a guy full of lead at close range (8 feet?) from a corner, he'll turn around and shoot me dead, then run a few feet past my dead body and keel over.

but on the bright side RPG-7 + the Mp5 sidearm = pwn.
