does anyone have a casio sk-1, basically for those of you who don't know the casio sk-1 is a mini keyboard put on the market in 1986 for musicians, and is sitll used by musicians today like moby, beck and some others. but anyway i was just curious if anyone has one of these little things im sure atleast two or three people have a casio sk-1 tucked away some where. if you havent heard of this instrument you should try to check it out if you are interested in making "odd" music

ah yeah, the circuit benders dream.

i dont have it but i know a guy who tinkered the shit out of his, uses it to make really ****ing weird noises

still, the vl-tone kicks the shit out of it. part ultra cheap keyboard, part calculator!

The sampling ability of the sk-1 seems really cool, very lo fi and all.

I just read that it was one of autechre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autechre)'s first instruments. must have been some sort of inspiration for their weird sound.
