I need some help please...

I have heaps of videos that are stored on my computer, but when i go to watch them i have to wait for them to buffer ( which takes around 10-30mins )

so my question is ... how do i make so they dont buffer so i can burn them to cd???

P.S... when they buffer they dont use any internet, since they are stored on my computer

if they're buffering they have to be using internet...make sure you are disconnected from the net then try to watch them...if they won't even load now then you know they're just links to the streaming versions...

to get the actual videos froms those links I think a tool for firefox called something monkey lets you download just about anything possible on a website.....scriptmonkey? i can't remember...i use Opera...HA

Just because its a file stored on your computer doesn't mean it can't access the internet...

same here ive never seen an avi file buffer unless it was linked to something that was streaming, but if the buffer doesnt take that long then dont bother with finding a solution.

well that converter doesnt work in converting anything it says ERROR and says something about directshow or something

There are 4 options up top. ffmpeg, mencoder, ffmpeg2theora, and producer. Which ones are not greyed out? Is the "Use DirectShow" checked or not?
Anyway, it might not like your 'buffered' clips. =p

Maybe the converter you picked (1 of the 4 options) needs directshow but maybe a different one wouldn't?
