Oops, forgot to finish the brackets. Can anyone fix that? And nothing to discuss, Abs?
Anyways, has anyone heard the song From Me To You by the subject of this thread? It's so awesome.

That's my opinion of them. Meh. I respect what they did for music, but there are plenty of artists today that I think are better, and I personally don't buy into any kind of Beatles nostalgia.

You're the only other person I know of who feels the same way. I get hit a lot during discussions of music :(

You can. Just edit your first post.
I think they made great music, but they're overplayed.

I have to agree with stigmatat/absinthe
Their contribution to music is inmeasurable, but the music itself is a little stale.

I love the Beatles. I wasn't around when they first came out, so it's not because of nostalgia, and I don't listen to the radio so for me, they aren't overplayed. My mom has all of their albums on vinel (vinal?) and I listen to them occasionally, but I prefer the CDs.
The white album pwns your face off.

I agree. I honestly don't like the music at all but I think they have contributed a lot to the music world

Much like what Absinthe said I feel. I still give 'em a listen from time to time. Especially the remixed album of Jay-Z's Black Album and The Beatles White Album. The Black and White Album.

Yeah you got to love them for their musical style
But personally I felt alot of their songs were just fillers on albums, besides all the number 1 hits. I only have like 4 favorite beatle songs on my ipod at the moment and I plan to keep it that way.
My personal taste, I agree... Meh...

Love Abbey Road, but never ventured into any of their other stuff. From what I understand it's their most 'alternative' album, and even then it's bordering on a little bit retro-pop for my liking, so I've never been interested in checking out anything else. Still, good stuff.

I have yet to find a Beatles song I hate, even the mediocre stuff on Beatles for Sale/With The Beatles makes me tap my foot

And it probably was for a reason, the reason being people lost interest. No point in reviving it, I think. Doesn't matter though.
