some objects are invisible in half life 2 episode one
i have updated my Gcard and Directx level but they are still invisible
i have a geforce fx 5500 256mb

what r ur system specs. U state u have upgraded your GFX Drivers, the latest driver 9x are very unstable i suggest u dload the stable drivers 84.21 here (http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/NVIDIA-Forceware--WHQL-Download-14656.html)

i have dloaded 84.21 gcard driver but still...
my system spec:
processor:p4 2.4 full cash
gcard:geforce fx 5500 256mb
scard:onboard
HDD: maxtor 40GB

Are you sure you have an original Half-Life 2 Episode One??? :angel: If so, then you should verify the integrity of the game files (go to Steam -> My Games -> right-click Half-Life 2: Episode One -> Properties -> Verify Integrity of Game Files, or something like that :D). Oh, and btw, make sure you have uninstalled your previous graphics driver, and installed the new one (these things are a bit tricky and might mess with your game). ;)

Nvidia MX and FX 5x videocards have this issue in HL2 (dunno for ATI)...some distant objects are invisible until you're close enough (i have MX myself, and will be upgrading soon), this is normal and your game is fine, the only way to fix this is to buy a new VGA. :\
