I was wondering how many people play Alternate Reality Games here...

For those who don't know:

An alternate reality game (ARG) is a type of game that overlaps the game world with reality, by utilizing real world media, in order to deliver an interactive narrative experience to the players -- a kind of surrealism.

ARGs are typified by involving the players with the story and its characters, by encouraging them to explore the story, solve plot based challenges, and interact with game characters. ARGs can be delivered via websites, email, telephones, or any other means of communication which is readily available to the players.

ARGs are growing in popularity, with new games appearing regularly. They tend to be free to play, with costs absorbed either through supporting products (collectable puzzle cards in the case of Perplex City) or because they support or promote an existing product (Halo 2 in the case of I Love Bees).

I think its becoming the peak of Alternate Reality Games, now that many big ARGs have gone by and they are gaining more popularity...

For those interested in this concept, perhaps you should visit
http://www.argn.com/ for more info on this stuff.

An ARG that actually just caught my eye is called "Theend (http://www.746865656e64.com/)". It caught my eye because people were making wacked out theories on this for October 13th, which seems to be special to this.

Another ARG that just past by is "The Lost Experience". I'm sure some people here were atleast watching that.

And, perhaps my favourite one at the moment,
"Cathy's Book" (http://www.cathysbook.com/)
I'll let you guys figure that one out for yourselves, but I'm into it

Please, if you watch/play other ARGs, POST THEM, SHARE THEM!

Maybe try "Theend" ARG then. It seems to be an indie project, so it should be easier forsay
