tranfering hl2 files from laptop to my desktop?

I play hl2 on my laptop all the time (dell xps-m170***amazing gaming lappy btw...)
anyways, I also have halflife on my desktop computer at home... can I transfer files somehow so I can play the game Ive been playing for so long on both computers without starting over? thanks.

are you talking about the saves or the game itself?

no, Im talking about saves ... the game is on both computers but one is at the beginning and one is 3/4 finished....

Copy the files in that folder

Or you could just do sv_cheats 1, then sv_unlockedchapters 15 in the console to unlock all the chapters, so you could start from any point in the game through the 'New Game' menu.
