Lol. I don't see how this is bad for AMD :P
They'll have a Quad-Core CPU in the works.

Not that impressive yet. Especially for games.

Seems pretty meh tbh.
Quad core is great for workstations/servers. They are going to use different memory for the new Xeon chips, right? I think FBDIMMs.
Here is a look at AMD's upcoming Quad core with some slides. (http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/editorial/amd-guiseppe-amato-conf-part1.html)
Power consumption looks good. They will be able to control each core's power state which I don't think Intel's will be able to do.
I don't think AMD is in any danger in the multi-CPU market. Just with single CPUs (multi-core). And I don't think it will 'hurt' AMD but it will slow their market share gains because less people will buy AMD. The reason it will just slow AMD down is because their advances in who offers their systems has greatly increased (one example is Dell). I believe they have been doubling market share in servers every year.

I'm going to love encoding on one core, gaming on another core, watching hi def tv on another core and....word processing on the fourth core :X
