There's nothing to be said here that hasn't been said a thousand times before. It's nonsense; it's convenient scape-goating; it's turning a blind eye to the roots of problems.
I'm not sure whioch would be better - whether such sensationalist critics were simply using video games because they've become an easy target or whether they actually believed it.
