I must have made millions of these.

I recently acquired a rather spiffy laptop through my work (I refurbished it myself.. I'll be putting more RAM in it soon.. ) and considering overall it's cost me around £150 to £200 :p it's an ace deal!

Pentium 4 2.6Ghz
512mb RAM
GeForce 4 MX 32mb

Now I know it's not top of the line - but what sort of games can I play on it? At fairly decent quality! Would GTA:Vice City or Warcraft III work alright?

I know FPSs are pretty much out of the window.. but hey, what do you guys recommend?

I had a geforce 2 (dx7) and it played GTA:VC, Warcraft 3, BF1942, CS, and DOD (was before source) all those games fine.
I'm sure the P4 2.6ghz and 512mb memory can handle it too.

Some of the Bioware RPGs would be good, and strategy games galore. Oh, and Badger, my computer's healthy again, whee! :D

Baldur's Gate, particually the second one.

Amazing, amazing games.

A lot of people liked Fallout too, although I never really got into either of the games.

Oh yeah, Morrowind would probably run on that setup too.

And KOTOR rules, the game's a must-have.

Agreed. Also look for Planescape Torment. It's on par with BG2, which makes it one of the best rpgs around.

I thought my copy was lost untill I visited my parents last week. While going through old boxes in the attic I found my old snes box. Inside it was Planescape - the box, cds, instructions and poster still minty fresh. Made my day :)

Where the hell could I find Planescape anyway? I tried Torrenting it and the version didn't work :(.

Try buying it?

I found my Warcraft 3 + Frozen Throne CDs today, installed and they run like a dream.. I'm well happy!

I'll definately pick up BG when I have some cash though..

Of course I've tried buying it, I just can't find it anywhere.

Maybe try ebay, there's quite often a copy floating around. It'll be worth the effort.
