What if Gman uses advanced versions of the technology in Portal?

Portal does not help you move fast, since you have to shoot the portal exit out in range, or within your sight. And portal has nothing to do with Gman.

Okay but personally I always thought that Gman used advanced teleportation technology to manipulate time (to a certain extent) because fundamentally time is an extension of space. The fact that Valve have released a game like portal and they have said that it is set in the HL universe made me think of this.

Your original thought was boundary with teleportation, the matter of teleporting from one place to another without intervention or support by anything, unlike portals which are static. Although the thought was very good, I would think not that the Gman uses advanced Portals because he would have to see where he was going, and the issue on time also proves it illogical in a sense.
