Yeah, they've produced some great Melodeath over the years. Character's a fantastic album, but everyone I've spoken to seems to dislike Damage Done. I believe it's just as good.
You forgot the second "l" in their title.
I actually bought Character a couple of weeks ago and it's an excellent album. Compared to most of the Gothenburg metal I've heard, it's definitely among the best of them. My only gripe is that their songs tend to be a little repetitive... I have trouble picking out one from another sometimes.

If its that sound we are talking about, I just prefer In Flames. I can't get into many more bands at the moment, especially if they sound so similar.

They're definitely less melodic-oriented, and a lot heavier on the guitars and drums; occasional blastbeats, for example.
Not to mention the electronic elements here and there definitely add a unique flair.

Blastbeats? Yes. Electronic elements? That's where they lose me. In Flames has done way too much of that recently which is why I haven't bought an album since Reroute to Remain (which was weak anyway). I am all but out of my melodic death phase now though. Its crossover thrash for me now.
