Spore still scheduled for Fall?

Now this is not official, but according to GamingSteves official forum Spore FAQ(Completely updated 12th of June).

1.2 When will Spore be released?
Spore is currently slated for release in Fall of 2006

I so hope this is true because I really want this game as soon as possible, it'd be great to have it tide me over until Crysis and whatnot.

I wouldn't hold my breath. I suspect that it won't be released until early next year. Just my opinion though.

Come on, you know it's going to be early in the fiscal year 2007, in other words: april 2007 at the earliest. That's directly from Wright himself. Getting your hopes up seems like a bad idea.

I don't care when its released (within reason) just as long as they make it as amazing as they intend it to be. More time in development should mean fewer bugs, more and better functionality, and an all-around better gaming experience! 2007 will be a ground-breaking year for videogaming!!!

I mean, I've waited for STALKER since 2002/2003 for example, I'm so sick of waiting for games these days, maybe I should stop hanging on gaming sites and never reading gaming articles etc so I never hear of these awsome games until they're released!:hmph:

You couldn't have been waiting since '02/'03 as Spore wasn't even publicly known about until Wright presented it at the GDC in '05.

He also said at this years E3 that he doesn't anticipate release until the first quarter of '07.
