I digged up my old Gameboy, which I haven't used in over 7 years, from the attic. Amazingly, it still works; even the batteries still work :)

The only problem is that there is a vertical stripe on the right side of the screen that is not displaying anything (about 8 pixels wide).

Can this be fixed?

sounds like your battery adapter is screwed up. I had the same problem on my 1989 gameboy, which I fixed by duct taping the batteries in place. It might not work for you though...

This problem can also be caused by incompatible games. Make sure you are putting in only games that were released before color was introduced to the gameboy.

Or the screen could be forked.

well, magnets, heat, software or hardware problems, etc. Really if that's the case then there's nothing you can do.

Lol. It's a sledge hammer. I guess I should have picked a different image, but I thought it was interesting that there are some printers in the background. Like, whats he doing with the sledgehammer in that office? :stare:
