Help, can't get out of the train station *spoilers*

Ok so Barney has left with the crew and alex has just slipped under a door to get us another train. Then around the corner comes a long legged spider like thing that blows everything up. Where do I go from here? I can't find anyplace to go. I can't seem to blow up the spider. I can't get in the empty crate. Any help? :borg:

The strider is supposed to send a beam at a crate most likely to your right, and you'll be able to go through there and find a path to the top.

then what? I get to second floor with the poison head crabs, but still suck.

In the second floor go to the crates at your left, behind them there is a path with a dead scanner, use the crate in front of it as a ramp.... you'll figure out the rest!

I think he's having trouble with getting to the rockets, do as I said, you'll get to the rockets ...

Blah, so obvious, didn't see that ramp. I couldn't help but notice though after I blew up the walker, yah know alyx had all of a few feet to reach the rocket launcher after she slid under the door, you wold have think she could have helped out. :hmph:
The ending was too good, too good! I know Valve takes too long, it will be at least 6 months for episode 2 and that make me Sad:( given that army of people on the credits they should be faster. That or hire more people. Use that diminsional rift to enslave some Vortigon programs.
