Fans of harcore music.
Personally, I'm not a big hardcore guy at all. I enjoy a good amount of metal, but hardcore is just too... hardcore D:
Plus, I am sorry, but slamdancing is just f*cking stupid :|

I like happy hardcore. Random songs that I've picked up over the years, like the tetris remix and stuff. It's all good.

Is that not what hardcore is?
To each his own, but I hate it when music is generalized and labeled.
"NO, it's ROCK!"
"NO, IT'S HARD ROCK!"
"NO YOU IDIOTS! It's Hard Glam Rock."
"Puh, what do you know, it's Paprica Rock!"
What the hell exactly IS hardcore?
You could say that Black Sabbath is hardcore. They're a hardcore blues band.
Screamo?
we palyed with bane the other week, that was immense
Bane? Woah. Also, if thats your band in your sig, its awesome. Proper old school.

throwdown are sold out beyond all belief, the "straight edge" band with only a couple of straight edge memebers.
terror used to be good for their first album lowest of the low when they had todd jones from carry on, now theyve gone the way of throwdown, completely sold out and their music is shit, its all about how hard do ya wana be.

I used to listen to a ton of hardcore back in the day; bands like Earth Crisis, Strife, Ensign, FloorPunch, Painstake, Warzone, 108, Resurrection, Dead Kennedys, Negative Approach, The Germs, The Circle Jerks, 7-Seconds, Murphy's Law, GBH, The Exploited, Crass, The Faction, FEAR, Broken Bones, MIA, DOA, and many many more. It went hand in hand with skateboarding. I still listen to the not-so-straight-edge stuff because its more timeless for me.
The crossover of hardocre punk and metal was definitely one of the best things to ever happen to music. Bands like DRI and CoC blazed the way for the thrash metal movement and I cannot thank them enough for it!

I can't believe nobody's mentioned Refused!
If you need a good definition of hardcore, you need to get the "Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent" and "The Shape of Punk to Come" CDs.

I was loathe to lump a band like the incomparable Refused into any genre. The Shape of Punk to Come is the absolute best album I have ever heard.

In relation to the almighty Black Flag, I saw Henry Rollins over the weekend at Download. ****ing awesome. Seriously funny guy. Couldn't help but agree with pretty much everything he said.
Now I just need to see a Jello Biafra spoken word set. :D

Shit, I wha..need to check out these bands, I mean I have had a recent liking towards, hard-core/post-hardcore.
If anyone can recommend me other bands that I should check out. I really like stuff, that have strange melodies, jazz chop chords and other crazy stuff when it comes to this genre.
Also, recommend me some good post-hardcore bands if you can.

A band called Irepress have recently come to my attention with their latest release, Sol Eye Sea I. I'll usually try to lump a band into something I can say in passing, even though I'm not a huge fan of genres because of their limitations. With these, though... I wouldn't even know where to begin. It's such a strange mixture of so many different styles of music all rolled into one from start to finish with little to no space in the middle to pick up a song on it's own at a random listen. Harsh, downtuned and crushing riffs are blended peacefully with overdoses of ISIS-circa In The Absence of Truth effects pedals and atmospherics whilst every now and again, short interuptions of vocals, male and female, change the flow of the a song by delivering just a subtle amount of voice work to keep you satisfied. By the by, it's an instrumental album - an instrumental post-hardcore, hardcore and metal album.
It's ****ing weird as, and it might be my favourite release of this year alongside the new ISIS.

I will check that out.
On the other hand, Underoath's new album is awesome. They've totally ditched their old singer and old influences. The moment I read their new wiki page saying.. Bassist Grant Brandell has explained that Underoath's music has been influenced by various bands such as Refused, At the Drive-In, Jimmy Eat World, Isis and Radiohead. lulz. anyway, I really like what I'm hearing

The most metal band I listen to is Led Zep, but I'd rather call them blues rock (they themselves disliked being labelled as metal).
