I like the idea of an FPS where you command aliens to kill people, but Pokemon is not that game.

Would be cool if they did it like that, or even MMO style(though i hate to think of the kid fanboys that would bring). As long as they don't commercialise and aim towards kids in the way that killed the gameboy series credibility.

Now now... I bet you all played Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow (the BEST games in the series imo). Now imagine that in full 3D in a sexy virtual world.

It would be pretty cool, the first games, Red and Blue, were pretty good (admit it!) but I don't think the graphical styles of Pokemon and Oblivion would mix. Oblivion looks too realistic.

Agreed. You can hate Pokemon all you want, but the 2D games are fun.

I think theres a little too many pokemon to catch in the newer versions. 151 is a nicer number than 351 or whatever they're at now.

You've told us that about 3 times in this thread, just phrasing it differently each time. And it's not even a particularly constuctive comment anyway.

Whilst a first-person Pokemon game would rock, and throwing the ball with a Wii remote would rock, I don't think the Oblivion engine could pull it off. Whilst I don't say this often, I'd prefer it to be an anime-esque realism somewhat like Final Fantasy.

Why can't you just have a game where you have to hunt down all the different and many animals in Cyrodill down. The mod would either have you collecting the pelts by shooting them, or if your good enough you can leesh them and train them to follow you about and of course go to the IC and fight your creature against others.

Very similiar premiss to pokemon, except its not pokemon and it would actually (imo) be alot more realistic to mod.
