no official announcement but going by what their new website says "playable at E3" with a counter listing 360 odd days left ..it can only mean that the game is nowhere near finished ..this really sucks as I expected it to be released in fall/winter

Hmm... The trailer playing on the site says 2006 still. Maybe it's a typo in the code for the countdown timer? Maybe it's coming in 21 days! :O

Sucks if it is comming in 2007 though. I was really loking forward to playing this. I thought it was comming out this summer too :(

Could be a subtle hint for a 360 release, possibly announced at E3 in 21 hours. That's kind of reaching, though.

2007?! Bah I really hoped for a 2006 release. Oh well there's still BF2142 that's coming out this year.

They've took the countdown timer off the site now. Must have been a mistake. (Well I hope so :P)

Just saw the HD trailer (2 min 30 sec) that got released at IGN a couple minutes ago, pretty damn cool. Very nice animations on the characters.
It stood "fall 2006" at the end of the trailer. :)

THIS is what I wanted from E3 2006. After this and the Nintendo Press conference I can now back and study for finals.
