Well, if this is truly indicative of the final version, it's looking pretty good. And I was damn skeptical of how this was going to turn out. But this vid shows the tactical map, which is a big plus, even if it looks slightly simplified. Graphics look pretty good, but there's a fair amount of lag, especially with explosions. That shouldn;t be the case with a PPU though. At least, hopefully not. Overall, this has raised my spirits about the game.

Edit: Says it's coming May 2006.

It looked like it was running a little slow. But the gameplay looked pretty good. This gets my hopes up that we may get something at least a little close to the original ghost recon than the sequels have been. I hope the delay helped them.

Looks great, yet I still won't be buying a PPU this early in the game :(

Yeah, PPU is out of the question for a while for me too. There just aren't enough games that use it to justify the purchase.

GRAW PC looks pretty, but you guys are right that the framerate looks like crap. It should be an intense experience and they have a couple of months to optimize anyway, so hopefully it will come out smooth and sweet!

But remember Victim, the more people that buy the PPU's the more reason there will be to give support for them for developers. Developers can freely add PPU compatibility in, thats completely free unlike Havok for instance which costs quite a bit to get into your game.

So it makes sense - Lots of People have em, no extra massive costs, why not?

Though I do agree with you, I wont be buying a PPU for a while aswell, but the fasters consumers buy them, the quicker more games will have em.

I know--its a tough spot. Sort of a catch-22 really. I don't want to buy one until they take off and devs takes advantage of them, but I have to buy one in order to help ensure they take off and devs takes advantage of them! Ugh! They're a great idea, but they might be too late if nvidia's onboard GPU physics processing proves to be all that they hope it will be....

well there's more than one physics solution ..nvidia will introduce a new driver that allows physics to be offloaded to a video card in a dual sli setup ..another physics solution is offloading the physics to one of the dual cores in a dual core cpu ......so i wouldnt support PPU just yet as we dont know which solution the industry will whole heartedly support

I never liked the idea of the PPU. I just couldn't justify buying one.

Well, hopefully they're gonna work on optimizing it this last month or so they're working on it
