Well, I just installed the new 6.3 catalist, and it lags me like hell. It seems to lag every game I have, including Oblivion, but make my World of Warcraft run better, and i uninstalled the older one, and cleaned it out with a driver cleaner and what not, so its not a problem from that. Anyone else having simular problems?

Wow. I believe I'm running 6.2, and I was about to upgrade... now I'm waiting at least 'til 6.4 :|
EDIT: what's your GPU?

Whats the difference between Omega and Catalyst? I've always used Catalyst - since that's what my Video Card came with. Is omega only for specific Series of ATI cards?
I haven't tried the new ATi drivers, I'm using 6.2 and they are PFS. (Pretty ****in' sweet.)

I need more people to test it for me. Any volunteers? :>

Catalyst is made by Ati, and Omega by a hardware enthusiast with lots of über-leet coding skills. His drivers are both for nVidia and Ati, but only the Ati drivers are good, I have heard. Just got to this link (http://www.omegadrivers.net/). The newest drivers were released yesterday.

And since I didn't have that version yet, I downloaded it. No need for a long uninstall procedure; you just remove the setup files and tools through the Start menu, and install the new .exe. It's basically a patch. Ati should learn from that.

Those new Omega's were a real improvement for me. I used to run on medium textures but I can now run the game at a decent framerate on high.

Try logging on to Xfire first ;)
Seriously tho, any Ati user should at least try 'em.
