I also wonder that. Hopefully, it will be compatible with a joystick or something.

Awesome!
I hope it's a proper port. I know Ubisoft will do a good job. Prince of Persia has been great on both consoles and PCs.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!!
Onimusha 3's already out for PC isn't it? DMC3:SE has quite possibly the most ridiculous presentation I have ever seen, hell it makes Far Cry look like The GodFather in comparison.
RE4 is a good game, but implementing mouse controls would essentially ruin the game, I mean the game's pretty damn easy already...

I believe that it is out in Japan. There's a PC demo. It wasn't very good.

So does this mean that these awsome games are going to have star force slapped on them? If so - that's a shame.

Onimusha 3 is actually... terrible on pc.

Guys, you shouldn't view this with too much joy, because most console to PC ports I've played from Japanese devs have usually been HORRIBLE!
Besides, RE4 with a mouse will just be far too easy.:\
I guess it's still nice for those who lack a PS2 or GameCube tho.:)

No!
They don't deserve to behold the glory of RE4!
Grr on them!

I think Ubisoft will do a good job of porting these games.
Meh somehow I doubt these ports will be all that great, these games were designed to be played on controller's and implementing mouse / keyboard would break the gameplay.

Thats why you buy a controller? Just becuase its on PC doesn't mean you HAVE to use the mouse and keyboard. I recently bought an Xbox 360 controller just for my computer and games like Need for Speed Most Wanted play awesome. Though it sucks that I had to chunk down 40 bucks on a controller.
I'm just saying that there ARE alternatives.

That's what I was thinking. But, playing Devil May Cry 3 on a keyboard might be interesting.
If you're willing to refrain from using a keyboard and have a controller, then I guess you're fine. But point is, with keyboard / mouse, a game like RE4 becomes an utter cakewalk. For those without controllers then it ruins the gameplay since the game was never meant to be that easy. The game's not that hard to begin with and with mouse aim, you could have pinpoint accuracy for every shot.

I think Ubisoft will do a good job of porting these games.Ubisoft will not be porting'em afaik, Capcom will do this themselves, Ubisoft tho will be the ones to publish it.:)
I mean, the Onimusha 3 PC port is already out in Japan, they'll just translate that into Eng and release it stateside.:)
I won't get my hopes up too much because as stated, Japanese devs that do console games seems to be SEVERLY lacking when they optimize games for PCs imo.
But as I said, I guess it's all good for you PC fanboys out there(Grr I wanna eat you all. Fanboyism sawks!)

PCs rule!
I just hope they do good ports, and not straight ones. If RE4 will be much easier with mouse and keyboard make it harder in other ways instead.

I prefer consoles for gaming, because of the simplicity, but I also buy a new PC every ones in a while, mostly because I love abandonware(rarely buy new games on the PC..:)) and because I work with 3D rendering at home.:)

Oh, I see. Does Capcom usually make good ports of games?

Not any I know of ... most are just straight out ports (ex. Onimusha 3)

Ok, this is getting rediculous. RE4 was supposed to be on the Gamecube only. But then it gets ported to the PS2. And now the PC. Why does the GC always get screwed out of ports? I'm getting sick of game developers publishing a game on every system except the Gamecube.

why everybody say RE4 will be easier whit a mouse?
why everybody say RE4 will be easier whit a mouse?
Much easier to aim.

Much easier to aim.
I think is not going to be so diferent, maybe is one of those people who touch a controller for 3 seconds and go "omfg soo hardzorr!"

<RJMC>, have you played Splinter Cell 1/2/3 on both the consoles and the PCs?
There's quite a difference and I've been playing consoles since I was 2-3 years old(First game I played was Duck Hunt on the NES).
I think is not going to be so diferent, maybe is one of those people who touch a controller for 3 seconds and go "omfg soo hardzorr!"
I've gotten really proficient with the PS2 aim controls after having beaten RE4 twice and all the bonus campaigns. However, all that doesn't hold a candle to aiming with a mouse. Someone playing for the first time with a mouse (after few mins) will be about as good / better than my aim after beating the game twice.
