Player Classes
There are six classes to choose on both teams each with their own unique weapons, strengths and weaknesses.

Rifleman

The Rifleman is the basic unit for the United States and the Wehrmacht. He carries a rifle, rifle grenades and a melee weapon. The US Army Rifleman has the M1 Garand with grenade launcher and a knife, the Wehrmacht Rifleman uses the K98k rifle with grenade launcher and a spade. Both rifles’ are single shot, while the M1 Garand is in a semi-automatic clip the K98k is a bolt-action rifle. The nature of the Rifleman’s’ kit ensures he is best employed at long-range while using the iron-sights on the rifles.

Assault

The Assault class is the close-quarters-combat unit and is kitted out with a sub-machine gun, smoke grenades, fragmentation grenades and a pistol. The US Army Assault class uses the Thompson sub-machine gun and a Colt Pistol while the Wehrmacht Assault class uses the MP40 sub-machine gun and a p38 Pistol. The sum-machine guns are only fully-automatic, with a secondary fire of punching. The Assault class is best used in tight close combat situations as their main weapon lacks accuracy over a long range. The grenades are also useful for cover and to clear out buildings.

Support

The Support class is a solid all-round unit specialising in medium range fire-fights. They come equipped with an automatic-machine gun, a melee weapon and two fragmentation grenades. The US Army Support class uses the Brown Automatic Rifle (BAR) while the Wehrmacht soldier uses the Sturmgewehr (STG44). Both machine guns are able to alternate between fully automatic and semi-automatic firing modes. The ability to alter firing modes gives the Support class great flexibility between short, medium and long range combat.

Sniper

The Sniper is a long-range precision unit using a scoped rifle, a pistol and a melee weapon. The US Army Sniper uses the Springfield Sniper Rifle while the Wehrmacht use the K98k Sniper Rifle. Both rifles are bolt action with an attached sniper scope allowing for long-range precision shooting. The relatively weak support weapons render the Sniper useless in a frontal assault but great in a defensive position.

Machine Gunner

The Machine Gunner is a long range heavy-support unit carrying a machine-gun with mount, pistol and a melee weapon. The US Army Machine Gunner uses a .30 cal machine-gun and the Wehrmacht Machine Gunner uses the MG42 machine-gun. Both weapons are very highly powered making them uncontrollable to use while standing, when the secondary fire mode is used the tripod is used to provide a stable platform for the machine-gun. The .30 cal has a lower firing rate than the MG42, but unlike the MG42 it does not run the risk of over-heating. Due to the requirement to stabilise the weapon Machine Gunners are best used as long-range units, but can be prone to flanking when deployed.

Rocket

The Rocket class is a long-range unit that fires explosive rockets from the rocket launcher while also carrying a rifle or machine-pistol and a melee weapon. The US Army uses a Bazooka Rocket Launcher and the M1 Carbine while the Wehrmacht Rocket class use the Panzershreck and C96 machine-pistol. To use the Bazooka or Panzershreck the soldier must be in a ‘deployed’ state which greatly limits manoeuvrability making them prone to flanking manoeuvres. However the Rocket causes great amounts of damage and also inflicts splash damage to any units near the target. The Rocket class also have decent support weapons, the M1 Carbine being a semi-automatic rifle, and the C96 a fully-automatic machine-pistol. The Rocket class is great at long ranges.
