IGN sat with Valve's Chet Faliszek to talk about Left 4 Dead, Chet describes it as "The Zombie Apocalypse You Can Play With Your Friends". Here's some highlights from the podcast:

• Each movie takes an hour to two and a half hour to play.
• Versus mode shipping with 10 maps to play at release.
• The demo version is a couple of maps in the beginning of "No Mercy" movie.
• The 360 version of the demo has already been shipped to Microsoft for certification.
• There are stats between each map, and at the end of the game it rolls stats for the whole game instead of credits.
• There are achievements (like the number of zombies you have to kill).
• Valve will release videos for the backstory of Left 4 Dead.
• SDK will be out really soon after (if not with) launch.
• November 18, be there.
